'HIGH ARCTIC' is an ongoing series of works on wood that utilises satellite images of arctic regions as a means of inspiration. Due to the effect of global warming, the Arctic is becoming more and more accessible for exploitation of its natural resources, be it drilling for oil or mining for other natural resources. Over time, oil in the bitumen, which is used to recreate mountain peaks reaching through the snow and icecaps, will seep out and stain the surrounding plaster, representing the harm that will be done by future industrialisation in untouched parts of the circumpolar region of the North.
